I'm back from my week in China and have recovered from the jet lag!

It was a packed and productive trip. As mentioned in my recent editorial that I wrote while on the flight there, the primary purpose of the trip was Clicks factory and supplier visits, but while in country I also met up with other players in the QWERTY space who are doing their part to bring buttons back.

For the full debrief and lots of thoughts, grab some popcorn and listen to me chat with Retro Jake on my adventures.

Which iPhone 17 should you upgrade to for the Clicks Keyboard? Upgrading your iPhone with the Clicks Keyboard in mind? This guide will help you make sure you pick the size of iPhone that will work best for you.

Updated September 17, 2025: This was originally published in September 2024 when the iPhone 16 was released and has been updated to take the iPhone 17 into account.

If you plan to put a Clicks Keyboard on your next iPhone (and you should!), these tips will make sure you get the iPhone + Clicks combo that will make you and your thumbs happy!

At this stage in the iPhone game (can you believe we're now on iPhone 17?!), most of us have figured out if we're small iphone or BIG IPHONE people.

Given that the Clicks Keyboard for iPhone rolled in 2024 to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 and iPhone 16, most people who have purchased the Clicks Keyboard bought it for the iPhone model they already owned vs. thinking about an upgrade with Clicks in mind.

Having now used both the (smaller) Pro and (LARGER) Pro Max models of the Clicks Keyboard extensivel...

Hello from 35,000 feet!

I'm 30 minutes into a 13 hour flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong as I'm typing this, excited for a week of QWERTY Keyboard adventure ahead.

It's going to be a whirlwind with 2 nights in Hong Kong, 2 nights in Shenzhen, 1 night in Shanghai and a final night in Hong Kong before flying back to Canada.

While the primary reason of my trip is factory and supplier visits for Clicks Technology (I need to review samples of the recently-announced iPhone 17 Clicks and some other things we've got cooking in the Clicks labs), I've also been lining up visits so I can get my hands on other keyboard products slated to ship in Q4.

In case you missed Retro Jake's Keyboard Ph...

QWERTY Phone Buyer’s Guide 2025 Do you love pushing buttons on a phone? While we haven't had a new BlackBerry since 2018, 2025 is showing a surge in popularity for QWERTY phones with more options available or coming to market than we have seen in years. Let's bring you up to speed with the state of QWERTY.There hasn't been a new BlackBerry on the market since 2018, but 7 years later we have several companies and projects picking up the slack with more QWERTY options than we have seen in years

It is honestly hard to believe how good we QWERTY lovers used to have it.

There was a time when the consumer mobile phone market was bursting at the seams with devices that proudly featured a physical keyboard.

And it wasn't just smartphones. Many basic phones and feature phones (in-between devices that had more features than the "dumb" basic phones but not as many as their full-fledged smartphone peers) could be found rocking QWERTY keypads, taking advantage of the then-new SMS and instant messenger obsessed consumer marke...
