Leica’s Latest Bundles are Designed for a Working Photographer The Leica SL2s is a camera that I bought back in 2020, and I absolutely haven't regretted it even though the SL3 has come out. We've updated our review many times, and it only seems to have improved with time -- which has become more commonplace with cameras. However, you then remember that this is a Leica, and that you're most likely going to get some sort of support with it even after it has been discontinued. That's why the latest offering from Leica seems even better -- they're bunding in an additional battery, the M to L mount adapter, and a premium hybrid glass display protector.

The Future of Fujifilm Hints at the Luxury Market, Like Leica For several years now, we've been saying that the camera brands are going to have to turn into luxury brands. Cameras are specialist tools that can serve a functional purpose when it's needed. But like watches, cameras can mostly be replaced by your phone. The watch world evolved to become a hobbyist, enthusiast, and luxury world. Cameras will need to do the same. And in a recent interview, Fujifilm stated that they, too, understand this. In fact, they stated that they want to become more like Leica.

Why The Canon EOS R1 Might Be for Birders Perhaps the only time I've ever seen people pixel-peep images is when they're looking at street photography photos and birds on their phones. And by people, I typically mean regular folks -- not photographers. In this case, the term photographers refers to a group of people who fight amongst themselves like first-graders partaking in a pedantic conversation around whose pencil case is nicer. When in truth, they truly just want to be seen as superior and forget that the whole point of having the pencils is so that they can do lessons and erase their mistakes. For many of these folks, the Canon EOS R3 was a mistake because of the lack of extra features for birders. And yet birders, despite their incredible conservation efforts, aren't really the bulk of people who make money with cameras this high end. Alas, it looks like the Canon EOS R1 has a feature that they'd want.

The Thypoch Eureka 50mm f2 is a Love Letter to the Past Thypoch is today introducing a brand new lineup of lenses -- and they're calling them the Eureka. The first of the bunch is the 50mm f2 -- and if you're only obsessed with aperture numbers, then you're missing out on just how incredible this lens is. It's an ode to the older Leica 50mm f2 Summicron Collapsible. "When in use, it extends to 41.2mm, but can be collapsed to a compact 27mm, fitting easily into a pocket alongside compact cameras," says the press release. But that's only part of the fun with the Thypoch Eureka 50mm f2. It also comes in brass!
