[Bleacher Nation] - NBA Beef: Trae Young Adds Fuel to the Fire, Slams Patrick Beverley
The needs its own reality show! Whether it be blockbuster trades, crazy scandals, or beefing players, the league never fails to keep things entertaining off the court. The latest drama comes courtesy of an NBA superstar and a former outspoken role player! Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks – © Brett Davis-Imagn Images NBA Feud: Trae Young and Patrick Beverley Trade Blows Patrick Beverley recently called out All-Star players for taking the annual event for granted. His response led Atlanta Hawks star Trae Young to respond on the app formerly known as Twitter, telling Beverley to “relax” and let the players “speak for ourselves.” This led Beverley to , and he held nothing back when speaking about Young’s career. “I don’t think he’s in a position to speak. I don’t think he’s won enough to even speak to me like that or tweet me like that,” Beverley said. “He’s been in the playoffs three times, I’ve been to the playoffs nine … His main rebuttal is probably going to be, ‘you weren’t the main player on your team.’ Absolutely right, but that’s why it’s a team. I’ve talked to people in Atlanta, they don’t want to play there. They don’t think he’s a good leader. They don’t think he’s a good teammate … Trae, you can score all the points you want. You can make all the money you want. You can have all the leading assists you want. You can do all of that. If you don’t win, that sh*t don’t matter.” As one can imagine, Young did not take kindly to Beverley’s rant. The four-time All-Star struck back with a nearly . While Young gave his flowers to Beverley for having a long NBA career with some defensive recognition, he slammed the veteran for knowing little about making a true winning impact. Young even went on to list all of the All-NBA and HOF-caliber players that Beverley suited up with during his NBA career, from LeBron James to Giannis Antetokounmpo. “A lot of these wins that you say you’ve had, being a winning player in the NBA, a lot of those wins, basically every single one of those wins, you were being carried by an All-Star, if not two at the same time,” Young insisted. Young made fun of Beverley for jumping on the scorer’s table after a Play-In win and pushed back on the notion that players have hated suiting up for Atlanta. He also urged Beverley to share the sources that criticized the Hawks like a real member of the media. “I promise you, any time you were on the court with me, I was never scared of you. I was never scared of Patty Bev. And, as you can tell, Patty don’t scare me now,” Young said. How can you not love the NBA? If we’re being honest, this whole thing is pretty darn ridiculous. Beverley isn’t necessarily wrong to suggest that the All-Star Game is a joke. The NBA has basically shown they agree with him by changing the event each and every year. At the same time, did Trae Young tell any lies? There is no question that the Hawks’ guard has reached a higher status than Beverley ever did. He is the face of a franchise tasked with taking a team to the top. Meanwhile, Beverley was a journeyman who faced far lower expectations year in and year out. Is Young void of criticism? Of course not. Beverley probably also has plenty of good advice to give! However, insisting that he knows more than Young about winning at the highest level probably isn’t the right move. Anyhow, I’m sure this is the last time we’ll hear about this! If one thing is for sure, Kevin Durant is on Young’s side. The Houston Rockets forward responded to the clip shared of Beverley’s remarks, Welp, cue up the KD-Pat Bev beef!

[Bleacher Nation] - Some of the Biggest NBA Players Who Could Land in Trade Rumors This Season
The NBA season might still be over a month away, but trade season never sleeps! No professional sports league has blindsided fans more in recent years with blockbuster deals than the . Of course, the Luka Doncic trade has now become the prime example of how unpredictable the league has become. But it doesn’t stop there! Whether it be De’Aaron Fox to San Antonio, Jimmy Butler to Golden State, or Kevin Durant to Houston, you never quite know which NBA star could be on the move next. With that being the case, I thought we would try our hand at predicting the next set of players who could dominate the NBA rumor mill this season. While I included a handful of the usual suspects, there may be a few names that surprise you. Mar 22, 2025; Los Angeles, California, USA; Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic (77) and Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James (23) on the sidelines against the Chicago Bulls during the first half at Crypto.com Arena. Mandatory Credit: Jonathan Hui-Imagn Images NBA Trade Rumors: Players Who Could Be Next … Giannis Antetokounmpo I’m sure it would be right to start this list with any other player. It has become an offseason tradition for fans and analysts alike to speculate about Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future. Despite the Greek Freak being vocal about the importance of competing for championships, the organization has lost in the first round of the playoffs in three consecutive seasons. To make matters worse, they have significantly weakened their arsenal over the years. The front office has very limited financial flexibility and draft capital to improve the roster around Antetokounmpo. Indeed, this is why the franchise made the drastic move of stretching and waiving Damian Lillard earlier this offseason. Struggling to build the chemistry they once hoped with Antetokounmpo and tearing his Achilles in the playoffs, the Bucks opted to eat his monstrous contract to sign Myles Turner away from the Indiana Pacers. Will this satisfy Antetokounmpo? To be clear, Antetokounmpo has long remained loyal to the Bucks. He has given very little indication that he plans on demanding a trade, which feels like the only real way Milwaukee would ever consider moving on. However, the about finding a new home had to come from somewhere! The next few months will be huge for his future in Milwaukee. If the Bucks struggle to make noise in the Eastern Conference, the rumors will pick up again. Especially with Antetokounmpo only guaranteed to be under contract for one more season (player option in 2027-28), the Bucks will have to get a feel for where his head is at sooner rather than later. LeBron James As unrealistic as it may seem, LeBron James has to be on the list. The Los Angeles Lakers saw their immediate future change drastically last season with the acquisition of Luka Doncic. The former Dallas Mavericks superstar is now their present and future, which has put James in a weird spot. Not knowing how much more James has left in the tank sure makes building around Doncic that much harder. As long as James is on the team, he is going to require a ton of attention AND eat up a ton of salary. The only real way to create a greater level of certainty and consistency may be to move on from James. And, heck, who is to say James wouldn’t want the same thing? The Lakers have made just one conference finals in the last five seasons, and they were swept in that series. While the addition of Doncic obviously puts them on a better track, time is of the essence for James. If he ended up on the trade block later this season, he could end up in an even better position to grab his fifth ring. Trae Young The Atlanta Hawks sure feel like they are at a crossroads with Trae Young. While the four-time All-Star has continued to put up impressive stats and perform like one of the best distributors in the league, he has struggled to win games. Atlanta has become a staple in the Play-In Tournament and has missed the playoffs each of the past two seasons. Now, Young can choose to leave the Hawks as soon as the 2026 offseason, as the guard could decline his player option and hit the open market. With that in mind, it’s hard not to wonder if the Hawks could press the panic button. Could they try to move Young to avoid losing him for nothing? They are currently taking the opposite approach … for now. The team was aggressive in adding Kristaps Prozingis this offseason, as well as Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Add in the emergence of young forward Jalen Johnson and reigning MIP Dyson Daniels, and this is arguably the best roster Young has had yet. If he can’t manage to lift this team to new heights by the trade deadline, however, things could get VERY interesting. Lauri Markkanen The Utah Jazz have taken on a full rebuild in recent years, yet they have remained committed to Lauri Markkanen. In fact, the franchise handed him a staggering five-year, $238.0 million deal just last offseason! In theory, the 28-year-old could still be an important piec...
