Jackson Women’s Health Organization on Professional Decision Making among Urology Applicants We engage in research for many reasons, but this manuscript held significant personal interest for me. Amid the rigors of residency training, I experienced the loss of a very desired pregnancy. When the Dobbs’ decision leaked in May 2022, I was an attending. One of my first thoughts was how differently my miscarriage experience could have been as a resident. In 2019, I had the financial resources to travel out-of-state if needed, but I was allowed to recover in my own home. I was able to receive the necessary medical care with speed and dignity.
