Beautiful Doors I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to glazing, windows, doors, internal and external, most have beautiful wooden or Crittall frames and not a pvc frame in sight.  I love wooden frames and large pieces of glass that let the light in to a space.  Over the last 10 years we have slowly been replacing all the nasty brown fake wood pvc monstrosities from our home.  This is the last piece of the jigsaw the French doors leading from the living room to the garden.   I can not tell you how happy it has made me finally saving up enough to make this change.  It may only be a door but it makes our home that little bit more complete and in keeping with our taste. After making the decision that we are staying put for a few more years to see Ruby through university this was one of the big jobs we wanted to tackle to make our little home far more pleasant.  It’s the perfect time of the year to be doing it with late Spring and Summer not so far away these doors will be flung open, to potter in and out of the garden as I please, curtains gently blowing in the breeze. Doors and windows can truly transform a space but can also be very expensive, finding the right company to do the job well is also another factor.  We are lucky enough to have an amazing firm on our doorstep that specialise in crafting beautiful wooden windows and doors so ERW were the sensible choice.  They made our front and back door so it was only right that they should be set the task of replacing our French doors too.  The house flows better having everything coordinated and I couldn’t be more pleased. Here are some of the inspirational images that made my decision so much easier …   Images 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10
