Not only was baking the perfect all-consuming distraction from her heartbreaking grief, but she also found joy in building a new community of fellow sweet-tooths and being part of their birthdays, milestones, and celebrations.
She’s since launched a successful small business, Digby Cakes, where she spends all day creating colourful and eye-catching cakes from her Carlton headquarters!
This month she’s created a special range of baked treats to support Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, donating a portion of the proceeds to Cancer Council.
