Editorial Comment on “Dissemination of a Patient-Prioritized Research Agenda for Kidney Stone Disease: Patient Perceptions and Opportunities” It is a great honor to provide an editorial comment on this study, which addresses a highly relevant topic in urological practice: patient-centered research in kidney stone disease. Nephrolithiasis is an extremely prevalent and recurrent condition which, although benign in nature, exerts a profound impact on patients’ quality of life. This burden extends far beyond the physical dimension of pain: patients often experience recurrent episodes of severe discomfort, frequent emergency department visits, the need for surgical interventions, as well as material costs and significant disruptions to work productivity and daily routines.
