Editorial Comment on "Assessing Clinical Utility in Randomized Trials of Radical Prostatectomy for Urologic Oncology: An Original Article of Studies Published Between 2020 and 2024" In this month’s journal, Pruitt et al. have systematically reviewed 40 radical prostatectomy (RP) RCTs using the van’t Hooft framework for clinical usefulness.1 The use of this framework is novel in urologic literature. The most notable finding of the analysis is a strong positive correlation (r = 0.74, p < 0.001) between RCT transparency and clinical utility, demonstrating that widespread adherence to standardized reporting criteria is key to maximize study impact.
