Saltwash by Andrew Michael Hurley I feel I know the tatty, rundown seaside town of Saltwash. But I don't because it is fictitious. However, there are places such as this only I can't think where, towns that were once grand and popular that have fallen into decay and become out of favour.  Of course, the main reason I feel as if I have been to Saltwash is the power of Hurley's writing, his method of describing a place and the emotions his language evokes.
