That 5.9M Earthquake Warning Out of Nevada Was Fake News Millions of Northern California residents received an earthquake warning at 86 am Thursday about a quake with an epicenter in Lyon County, Nevada, but the quake itself soon disappeared from the USGS website, and they said it was a false alarm.
