Another Trailer for 'The Room Next Door' Co-Starring Swinton & Moore "I will not go out in mortifying anguish." Sony Picture Classics has revealed their final official US trailer for The Room Next Door, the first English language feature from Spanish filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar. It's already playing in theaters in Europe now and also opens in the US next month in the awards season. The film won the Golden Lion top prize at the 2024 Venice Film Festival a few months back (my review). Adapted from "What Are You Going Through" by Sigrid Nunez. Ingrid & Martha were close friends in their youth, when they worked together at the same magazine. Ingrid went on to become an autofiction novelist while Martha became a war reporter, and they were separated by the circumstances of life. After years of being out of touch, they meet again in an extreme but strangely sweet situation. Starring Julianne Moore as Ingrid and Tilda Swinton as Martha, Alessandro Nivola, John Turturro, Alex Høgh Andersen, Melina Matthews, Juan Diego Botto, Victoria Luengo, and Esther McGregor. One of my favorite indie gems of 2024 and I highly recommend catching up with it and spending time with these lovely ladies. Here's the official US trailer for Pedro Almodóvar's film The […]

Pamela Anderson is Shelley in Las Vegas in 'The Last Showgirl' Teaser "Feeling seen! Feeling beautiful! That is powerful." Roadside Attractions has unveiled an official trailer for The Last Showgirl, the triumphant return of actress Pamela Anderson. The film premiered to positive reviews at the 2024 Toronto Film Festival this fall, along with screenings at San Sebastian, Zurich, Denver, Miami, and many others. The Last Showgirl, a poignant film of resilience, rhinestones and feathers, stars Pamela Anderson as Shelley – a glamorous showgirl who must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after a 30-year run. Directed by Gia Coppola, The Last Showgirl co-stars Jamie Lee Curtis, as her best friend, who brings her own unique interpretation and brilliance to the story. The film's cast features Dave Bautista, Brenda Song, Kiernan Shipka, and Billie Lourd. Plus the original song "Beautiful That Way," sung by pop superstar Miley Cyrus. This film looks way more emotionally complex and resonant than one might expect for a story about an aging Vegas showgirl. Worth a look - stay tuned for a full trailer. Here's the first look teaser trailer for Gia Coppola's film The Last Showgirl, direct from YouTube: Shelly (Pamela Anderson), a seasoned showgirl, must plan for her future when her show abruptly closes after […]

Lisa Kudrow & Ray Romano in Comedy Series 'No Good Deed' Trailer "We deserve to have the house of our dreams!" Don't we all... Netflix has unveiled an official trailer for a new comedy series called No Good Deed, made by TV creator Liz Feldman, also creator of the other series "One Big Happy" and "Dead to Me". It tells the story of three very different families vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish style villa that they think will solve all their problems. Sounds like a very personal story turned into a comedy series. Netflix's No Good Deed is a series about the highs and lows of searching for a safe, happy home and just how far we're willing to go to protect ourselves and our loved ones in the process. Featuring Lisa Kudrow and Ray Romano as a couple who list their "gorgeous 1920s Spanish-style villa" located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Los Angeles - and the real estate frenzy begins. Also stars Linda Cardellini, O-T Fagbenle, Abbi Jacobson, Denis Leary, Poppy Liu, Teyonah Parris, and Luke Wilson. Executive produced by Will Ferrell's Gloria Sanchez Productions. This looks like it gets extra wild & crazy, reminding me of that other series "Beef" about all the sneaky/petty […]

Robbie Williams is a Monkey in 'Better Man' Music Biopic Full Trailer "Don't want to be a nobody..." Oh my. Paramount has debuted the main official trailer for Better Man, telling the story of British popstar Robbie Williams. Opening in the US in wide release this January. It's a brand new original musical from the director of The Greatest Showman, Michael Gracey. This premiered at the 2024 Telluride Film Festival and it opens in theaters later this year (in December for a week). "Discover an extraordinary journey that can't be told in an ordinary way." Williams is visualized as a photo-realistic monkey in the film instead of himself - animated by Weta VFX. Better Man is based on the mostly true story of the meteoric rise, dramatic fall, and resurgence of British pop superstar Robbie Williams, who claims to be one of the greatest entertainers of all time. It also stars Jonno Davies, Steve Pemberton, Damon Herriman, Raechelle Banno, Alison Steadman, Kate Mulvaney, Frazer Hadfield, Tom Budge, and Anthony Hayes. This still looks totally crazy! What a wild concept. And apparently it's really good? It does look big and spectacular and entertaining - even if he's literally a monkey the entire time. Who's down? Here's the official trailer for Michael Gracey's […]
