David Withers David Withers from St Teath in Cornwall shares how his family have been getting on since they very sadly lost their dad to mouth cancer and the importance of being vigilant and aware of the signs and symptoms this Mouth Cancer Awareness Month.
"So my dad went for a routine dentist appointment just before the lockdown and then they noticed that he had some white spots on the roof of his mouth and the side of his mouth which they were a little bit concerned about so he went for various different biopsies and treatment only to discover at the very beginning of lockdown that he had mouth cancer. 
"His treatment involved a series of radiotherapy as well as 18 months of being fed by a tube because he couldn't obviously eat through his mouth. He then i went for a course of chemotherapy but um that suddenly didn't work and he passed away the next August.
