Vertical has debuted the official trailer for an Irish folklore horror thriller film titled The Twin, which comes across more like a doppelganger psychological thriller than just horror. This first premiered at the 2024 Austin Film Festival and won the Audience Award from Dark Matters. "After such a long journey, I'm incredibly proud to finally share The Twin with horror audiences everywhere. It's a story about the things we try to bury that somehow find a way to dig themselves out." Following the death of his only son, a grieving father is haunted by a terrifying demon known in Irish folklore as the Fetch. He begins experiencing terrifying visions of a shadowy figure that looks like himself. Featuring a "haunted and physically impressive performance" from Logan Donovan as Nicholas (and also playing his shadowy figure). Also starring Robert Longstreet, Aleksa Palladino, Shannon Cochran, Tucker Grumbles, & Tripp Toupal. Looks creepy but still just another cliche story about grief as horror.
