Canadian lottery player an instant multimillionaire after Lotto 6/49 win A lucky Canadian lottery player is starting the day with some life-changing news after winning a $5 million prize.

The Lotto 6/49 draw took place on Wednesday, August 6, and at the time, the jackpot was worth $34 million. However, no one won the top prize. But someone did win the White Ball prize, netting $1 million after matching the number 43310333-01. According to PlayNow.com, the winning ticket was sold in Ontario.

The Lotto 6/49 Classic winning numbers were 01, 04, 05, 10, 37, 46, and bonus 24, and someone in Canada matched all six winning numbers, winning the $5 million prize. The lucky ticket was purchased in Ontario.

Someone also won the Lotto 6/49 Classic second prize. A lottery player from Victoria, B.C. matched five of the six winning numbers and the bonus number, netting themselves the $170,193.70 prize. The third prize will be split among 82 people who matched five of the six winning numbers, and they’ll each receive $871.50.



No one in B.C. won the Lotto 6/49 Classic Draw Extra prize worth $500,000, and similarly, no one in Ontario won the $1 million Encore prize.

It’s been a while since someone won the jackpot.

On June 21, someone matched the winning number 48771804-01 to win a massive Gold Ball prize. According to OLG, the ticket was purchased in North Bay, Ont., and the prize was worth an astounding $34 million.
